Once a post has been submitted by you it will go online immediately so please exercise care. POSTING ETIQUETTE

Please try to consider other users when posting on the forum. Posts in the incorrect area may be moved to improve the overall organisation of the forum, and posting in caps (ie. POSTING) is the equivalent of shouting and will be edited or removed.

Please do not use large or moving avatars and profile pictures in consideration of other users. Large files can make other computers run slowly and use up considerable bandwidth.

AGE RESTRICTION

All users must be over 16 years of age to register and post.

BANNING AND OTHER ACTIONS

The owners of the Adore Beauty Forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. Adore Beauty reserves the right to ban any user at any time without notice for what it deems to be inappropriate behavior.

OBJECTIONABLE MATERIAL

Although the administrators and moderators of the Adore Beauty Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of the Adore Beauty Forum, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages, pictures or links that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, argumentative, threatening, or otherwise violate any laws. You also agree not to post or private message any private details about another member.

Offensive and vulgar language will not be tolerated. This includes language that is sexually explicit, sexually suggestive, abusive, obscene, racist, hurtful, defamatory, illegal and otherwise unpleasant. This includes materials appearing in profiles, threads, emails or private messages and links. It also includes the use of inappropriate avatars, profile pictures or other visual communication even those intended to be in jest.

BULLYING BEHAVIOUR

Bullying behaviour on the forum will not be tolerated. Contacting other members through or outside of the forum with the intent to bully or influence behaviour in a negative fashion may result in an instant ban. Members are encouraged to report any bullying or threatening behaviour.

COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES

The Adore Beauty Forum cannot be used as a means for members to overtly advertise commercial goods. This includes random and repeated off topic posts and other overt advertising either by words or visual means, ie avatars. Shilling, or posting (largely or soley) for the purpose of promoting a particular product/brand/company will not be tolerated.

COMPETITOR SITES

While conversations relating to bricks and mortar stores and stockists is allowed, discussion of competitor sites is restricted. This includes links in signatures or messages on avatars, profile pictures etc.

PRIVATE MESSAGES

Users may not spam other members using the private messaging system or use it to promote commercial, illegal or objectionable activities. Use of the private messaging system is not a right and will be removed if other users feel uncomfortable or threatened with a member’s private messages. If you see a problem with abuse of the private messaging system please contact a moderator.

ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES

Illegal activities and the promotion or discussion of illegal activities are forbidden. This includes the posting, discussion or otherwise of defamatory, obscene or otherwise unlawful material including material that infringes on intellectual property. Adore Beauty will not be responsible for anything that you have posted either written or in picture form. The posting of computer viruses, Trojan horses and other malicious computer programs will be a breach of these terms and conditions.

COPYRIGHT

In order to comply with Australian copyright laws, users are prevented from posting material without the permission of the copyright holders. This includes articles, messages, outside forum posts and news items. Posts including copyrighted material will be removed.

DISAGREEMENTS WITH MODERATORS

Posts disagreeing or arguing with a moderator’s decision will be removed. Any complaints or problems must be private messaged or emailed.

DEFAMATORY AND NEGATIVE COMMENTS

The Adore Beauty Forum is not the proper place for defamatory, hurtful and overly negative comments about Australian and overseas businesses, companies and individuals that may affect their businesses. Such comments should be directed to the company or individuals involved and posts deemed overly negative will be removed. Members are reminded that the Adore Beauty forum is a public forum and as such there are restrictions on what may be posted.

STAYING SAFE ONLINE

When using the Adore Beauty Forums it is important to protect your privacy. We strongly suggest that you use a made up username rather than your real name when you register. Please do not choose a username which is too similar to one already in use. You should also exercise extreme caution in revealing personal details to others either in posts or via email. This includes your email address, suburb, job etc.

When you register you will be required to provide a valid email address in order to post.

When you post only your username will be shown. In your private profile only the extra details that you enter will be displayed such as city or country, state of residence etc.
