What are some good cleansers for someone with sensitive skin/mild rosacea?

#2

i have vascular rosacea and saw a skin specialist who recommended the Cosmedix Benefit Cleanser. It is a low foaming gentle cleanser. She also recommended that I use surgical gauze wipes to clean my face so i just apply the cleanser to dry skin, add water and use the gauze to cleanse my face then I remove with a warm face cloth. Hope this helps!

Great suggestion @jenna, I like that one too !

@elizabethhine do you prefer foaming or milk cleansers?

#4

Thanks @jenna . Where do you purchase the surgical gauze from?

Do you use the Cosmedix Cleanser to remove makeup or for a second cleanse?

Hi @KateMorrisCEO.

I generally prefer milk cleansers as I find them to be more gentle.

Hi @elizabethhine , I bought the surgical gauze at my local chemist. They are called Small Gauze Swabs and come in a pack of 100. They are square shaped so I usually use one or two depending on how much makeup I have on. If I have worn makeup, I use Bioderma Micellaire Cleanser first

@elizabethhine lots of good options then!

I really like the La Roche-Posay Toleriane cleanser, I don’t use it all the time but keep it on hand to use after travelling (which always makes my skin sensitive and irritated for some reason).
Bioderma Sensibio Lait would be another good option.

Hope this helps!

Alpha H Balancing cleanser is a beautiful creamy cleanser that has never irritated my skin but leaves it clean, soft, hydrated and yes balanced!

I second the la roche posay cleanset as well. Its so gentle.
