Hi there,

I’m new to the forum and joined so I could get a little help/recommendations as I’m a bit lost with the multitude of products out there and I’m not really sure what I should be buying for my specific concerns.

Ok here goes…
The problem areas that I would like products recommneded to fix are the following:

  • I find I have quite a lot of blackheads around my chin, which often end up becoming pimples, a mix of whiteheads and large pimples under the skin. What products can I use to try to stop these from surfacing?
  • I’m in my early 20’s and am already getting fine lines around my eyes, although I don’t have dark circles or much puffiness. What product would you recommend to reduce the look of these fine lines and to stop them developing further?

Thanks so much for your help

Hi Louise! :waving:

I’ve recently started using the ASAP products for acne and they have been quite good. A little drying, but effective.
Adore have a starter pack with 5 (i think) products and a nice makeup bag for under $100 so well worth it if you want to give it a go.

Hi Louise,

We recommend seeing a good skin specialist for looking at issue such as blackheads and pimples. They really will be able to look at your skin in person and give you a good analysis of what your skin needs:

We do stock some great products for those with oily, acne prone skin;

Bioderma Sebium range is great for for oily, spot/acne prone skin:

Dermalogica always have some great choices for all skin types:

As you’re only in your early 20’s I’s suggest keeping it pretty simple and looking for an eye cream that is hydrating, but not too heavy.

The Dr Hauschka Daily Revitalising Eye Cream is perfect for younger skin:

The Apivita First Line Eye Cream SPF15 is great for help with first signs of fine lines:

I hope this is helpful! Please let me know how you go

Warm regards

Hello Louise,
Lucky you! that you don’t have dark circles. For your age group, have you talked to the girls at the cosmetic counters at Myer? Perhaps Biotherm or Clinique… I look out when they have specials on, to get GWP, etc. Otherwise no harm just to have a chat, sometimes you can get some samples to try first.

Or else try Priceline they have good reasonable brands, sounds like you need a facial mask to dry out those blackheads/pimples. Do not squeeze!

Use an eye cream or even one of those eye roller things, eg Loreal, etc. Fine lines is just the beginning, if you use a decent product it would help any major problems as you get older lol. It’s when you neglect that things pile up.

All the best!

Acne, Pimples, Whiteheads and Blackheads are annoying and can often leave you looking for cover!

I use a cotton ball dabbed in ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) after washing my face everyday and that has considerably reduced my whiteheads and breakouts.

I follow up with an HY Vitamins Argan Body Oil massage and my skin has never been this good. I use this oil, because it already has essential oils and herbal extracts added …

Do try and see if that works for you.

If that makes any difference, my skin normal - oily … and quite sensitive.

Best Regards
